Neuroblastoma Australia’s Board of Directors is responsible for the overall governance, strategy and financial stewardship of the charity.
Our Directors bring expertise in finance, law, business, marketing, research and lived experience of childhood cancer. Together, they ensure that every dollar raised is used wisely to fund high-quality research and to support families affected by neuroblastoma
Jake Rose
Jake Rose is a Chartered Accountant and Justice of the Peace with extensive experience in financial operations, business systems and processes. He has held senior roles overseeing budgeting, compliance and financial control in complex organisations. As a Director and the Treasurer of Neuroblastoma Australia, Jake brings a strong focus on transparency, risk management and long-term financial sustainability so that donor funds are carefully stewarded and directed to research with the greatest impact.
Lucy Jones
Founder & CEO (Board Member)
Lucy Jones is the CEO and founder of Neuroblastoma Australia, and mother to Sienna and Jamie Hoffmann. After tragically losing her daughter Sienna to neuroblastoma in 2010, Lucy became determined to improve survival rates by driving more and better research into this aggressive childhood cancer. Under her leadership, Neuroblastoma Australia has grown from a small volunteer effort into a national charity that has contributed millions of dollars to research. As a Board Member, Lucy brings deep lived experience, strategic vision and an unwavering commitment to finding safer, more effective treatments for children
Rochelle Yates
Board Director and Deputy Chairman
Rochelle Yates is Chair of a global logistics company where she specialises in marketing and customer engagement. She has extensive experience in events, promotions and brand development, and has applied these skills to advise on numerous fundraising events and activities for Neuroblastoma Australia, including flagship campaigns. On the Board, Rochelle provides strategic oversight of marketing and events, helping to ensure that every campaign both raises vital funds and builds awareness of neuroblastoma across the community
Jane Price
Board Director and Secretary
Jane Price holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws and is the owner of a successful immigration consultancy practice. She brings practical small-business experience, legal training and a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks. Jane also has a personal connection to the cause, having known Sienna Hoffmann and her family. As a Director, she contributes a legal and governance lens to Board discussions and is committed to ensuring that Neuroblastoma Australia remains a well-run, accountable charity that honours the trust of families and supporters.
Tim Bateman
Board Director
Tim Bateman is an experienced finance professional and Director of The Rockpool People and Parlour Capital. After completing an Economics and Finance degree, Tim spent 13 years in London working in the derivatives markets and has since held roles in stockbroking, investment banking and finance broking across Australasia and the United Kingdom. He now runs a boutique finance broking firm and has owned and operated franchise businesses. On Neuroblastoma Australia’s Board, Tim brings deep financial markets and investment expertise, supporting the charity’s work on reserves, risk management and long-term financial planning.
Associate Professor Louise Causer
Board Director
Dr Louise Causer is a medical epidemiologist and lecturer based at the Kirby Institute, UNSW. She has worked internationally in both clinical and research settings across a range of health fields and has extensive experience in highly academic environments in Australia and overseas. Louise offers valuable insight into how research is designed, assessed and translated into practice. As a Director of Neuroblastoma Australia, she brings an independent scientific perspective to governance discussions and helps ensure that the charity’s research funding is evidence-based, rigorous and focused on improving outcomes for children.
